Road Trip! Started in Cincinnati, Dropped in on Trever, Nikki and Chris on Friday, drove to DC to see Hong's new baby Saturday and Sunday. Monday I drove back through Pittsburgh for another night with Trever and Nikki and Chris, and made 2 new friends: Jackie and Jameel. Got home Tuesday night, and I'm leaving tonight for DragonCon at 3 AM! I am so rocking this vacation!

BTW: New job last week! Details later (hope to be hired on rather than be a temp first).

Food Addiction, emotional eating

I'm a food addict. I can't stop myself, and it's going to kill me. So I'm looking at surgery. Probably a sleeve gastrectomy. It's one of several surgical options, and appears to be not only the least complicated but the most effective. It's something I've been thinking about for a while now. I'm going to go to counseling before I even look at a scalpel, so don't worry about that. I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on.

Depression

Why is it that it always seems to strike just when things are getting better. I get over my cold and start going to the gym and it's like WHAM have a boot to the head filled with smelly fish. The fish of depression. *sigh* and the stench just doesn't go away.

False alarm!

So I was in the hospital Monday night with lower abdominal pain. Thought it might be appendicitis, but the CAT scan showed nothing. I'm back home, and have had no pain since. I do, however, have a major cold. Fun week, this one.

Hilary opened her home to our friends for a magnificent sleepover, and I am still giddy over all the fun had.
